Nicholas Rodriguez

Nick grew up in the southernmost region of the state in Brownsville, Texas—a small border community along the Rio Grande. As the grandson of Mexican immigrants and migrant farm workers, Nick has always endeavored to give a voice to those who have been silenced or ignored. Nick graduated from Texas A&M University-College Station with a dual degree in History and Communications and went on to graduate from South Texas College of Law—Houston with his Juris Doctorate.
Since becoming licensed in the state of Texas, Nick has practiced exclusively in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. Nick is licensed to practice in all Texas State Courts and in Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas. Prior to joining our firm, Nick represented large corporations and insurance companies in complex high-stakes litigation. He has tried cases in both state and federal court, as well as in commercial arbitration. Nick has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, a publication that recognizes lawyers who are most frequently and consistently recommended by their peers. Nick’s experience on both sides of the docket provides him with a unique perspective on personal injury claims and allows significant leverage when negotiating with insurance companies on behalf of his clients.
In his free time, Nick enjoys spending quality time with his husband Blake and their two French bulldogs, Charlie and Bader.

Get to Know: Nicholas Rodriguez

Why did you get into personal injury law? “After working on behalf of insurance companies and big business for some years, I knew deep down inside that I wanted to provide solid legal representation for everyday hardworking people and get back to why I became a lawyer in the first place.”

What does “client-first” mean to you? “This phrase is more than a slogan, it’s how I choose to practice law. This means exceeding client expectations, communicating effectively with your client, and always trying to over-deliver on your promises.”

Do you have any hidden talents or surprising hobbies? “I enjoy cooking for others and learning new healthy recipes. Food is my love language.”

What did you think you were going to be when growing up? “Growing up I thought I would be an anchorman on the news. I enjoyed staying up late with my parents to watch the evening news and even went as far as studying communications and journalism in college.”

What is your go-to comfort food? “Ice cream. I love a good scoop of Blue Bell during the summertime, or winter. Honestly, ice cream anytime.”

What is your favorite TV show or movie? “Yellowstone. Great scenic views of Wyoming and great characters.”

If you could know more about one thing, what would it be? “I would love to learn how to “tickle the ivories” and play the piano. I’ve always enjoyed a good pianist and have always wanted to learn how to play. Maybe I’ll sign up for some lessons soon… who knows!”
