Each week, Rescued Pets Movement (RPM) saves hundreds of animals from local shelters, often rescuing them from the brink of euthanasia. Since its founding in 2013, RPM has saved over 91,000 lives, playing a crucial role in helping shelters like BARC achieve a no-kill status, with a live release rate soaring from 42.6% in 2012 to over 85%.
Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP)
Founded in 1972, CAP shelters, rescues, and places homeless animals into loving homes while advocating for respect and compassion for all animal life. CAP’s comprehensive programs, including spaying and neutering, humane education, and lost pet services, are vital in preventing animal cruelty and reducing homelessness.
Houston Pets Alive!
BarktoberfestHouston Pets Alive! is dedicated to saving the lives of at-risk companion cats and dogs, striving towards a world where every pet has a forever home. By acting as a safety net for overwhelmed municipal shelters and impound facilities, this organization reduces euthanasia rates and enhances live outcomes for pets in Houston.
Corridor Rescue
Wags & Wagers Corridor RescueCorridor Rescue focuses on rehabilitating homeless, ill, and injured dogs in Houston’s notorious “Corridor of Cruelty,” providing them with medical care and enrichment to prepare them for permanent, loving homes. Since its inception in 2009, Corridor Rescue has grown exponentially, now operating a kennel facility that can house up to 38 dogs.

Science Olympiad Donation
The Science Olympiad is a team competition for students in grades K-12. Participants compete in various events that assess their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This competition promotes teamwork and helps students enhance their skills in design, prototyping, and technical writing. To support our local students, we are pleased to have donated to the Science Olympiad program at Dean Middle School.
The Down Syndrome Association of Houston Buddy Walk® 2023
In 2023, we were proud to participate in the Buddy Walk The Down Syndrome Association of Houston (DSAH) organized. This community walking event has been a part of the Buddy Walk Program since its inception in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society. The program allows individuals, schools, community groups, and local businesses across the state to engage in fundraising campaigns and events throughout the year to promote acceptance and inclusion for people with Down syndrome.
