Evette Hooper

Evette se crió en el Este de Houston, donde asistió a la escuela secundaria North Shore. Al graduarse, asistió a la Universidad de Texas A&M en College Station, Texas donde recibió su licenciatura en Psicología. Mientras estaba en A&M, Evette fue miembro de la Sociedad de Honor de la Orden Omega. Después de graduarse de A&M, Evette asistió a la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Tecnológica de Texas, en Lubbock, Texas.

Mientras asistió a la Facultad de Derecho, como estudiante, Evette
fue abogado en la Oficina de Defensores Públicos de Caprock, donde representó a indigentes acusados de distintos delitos menores y graves, en los diferentes condados aledaños al área de Lubbock.

Después de graduarse de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Tecnológica de Texas, Evette regresó a Houston para ejercer la abogacía en su ciudad natal. Desde su graduación, Evette ha enfocado su carrera legal en representar a los Tejanos lesionados y sus familias, y en disputas contra las grandes compañías de seguros y corporaciones. “Constantemente estoy leyendo y asistiendo a seminarios sobre defensa en juicios. Realmente disfruto aprender sobre mi práctica. Fuera del trabajo, me encanta adquirir conocimientos en el campo del fisicoculturismo, incluyendo tanto los aspectos físicos como nutricionales del deporte.”

¿Qué significa “el cliente primero” para ti?

“Cuando trabajaba como mesera y camarera para pagarme la universidad y la facultad de derecho, aprendí a comunicarme eficazmente con mis clientes y a escuchar sus necesidades. Aplico esos mismos estándares en mi trabajo para mis clientes hoy en día. Aunque muchos no piensan en el trabajo legal de esta manera, entiendo que estoy en la industria de servicios. Es mi trabajo hacer lo mejor para mis clientes mientras les brindo la mejor experiencia que pueda ofrecer. Nuestros clientes están pasando por momentos difíciles tanto física como emocionalmente. Trato de pensar en mis clientes como si fueran miembros de mi propia familia y de tratarlos como me gustaría que trataran a mi madre, padre o hermano.”

“Mi comida favorita en el mundo es la galleta con chispas de chocolate.”

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta hacer los fines de semana?

“Entretener a familiares y amigos. Nos encanta organizar fiestas, reuniones y noches de juegos en nuestra casa.”
