On Friday, November 5th, 2021, Houston rapper Travis Scott's third annual Astrowold festival kicked off at NRG stadium. The sold-out event had more than 50,000 young music fans in attendance.
Due to unsafe conditions, 8 lives were lost in the Astroworld crowd surge and hundreds more people were injured.
Law enforcement officials have now labeled the event a mass casualty incident.

What Happened at Astroworld 2021?
