We’ll be there, and we hope you will be too! And to help more families experience the joy of adoption, Trust Guss Injury Lawyers is sponsoring the adoption fees for the first 30 pets adopted, reducing the fee to just $50! 

There’s nothing like the joy of a puppy or kitten finding their forever home—and at Trust Guss Injury Lawyers, we’re proud to help make moments like that happen. 

This June 27th, we’re once again teaming up with Houston Pets Alive! (HPA!) for one of our favorite community events: Puppy-and-Purr Palooza. It’s a chance to meet some incredibly lovable pups and cute kittens, support local rescue efforts, and maybe even bring home your new best friend. 

A Cause Close to Our Hearts 

In the work we do every day, we often meet people going through some of the most difficult times in their lives. It’s a powerful reminder that everyone deserves someone in their corner, especially those who might not have the loudest voice or the easiest path forward. 

That’s one reason we love supporting organizations like HPA!. The pets at this adoption event come from all kinds of backgrounds. Many come from overcrowded shelters or challenging situations, and they’re just waiting for a second chance. That’s where this event comes in. Helping these pups and kittens find safe, loving homes feels like a natural extension of the values we bring to our work. 

A Look Back at the Impact 

Thanks to the incredible turnout and community support, last year’s events found 47 dogs homes in April, followed by another 38 in May. That’s 85 lives forever changed, and it wouldn’t have been possible without people like our community showing up, spreading the word, and opening your hearts. 

Along with HPA! we’ve contributed over $7,200 in donations and sponsorships to keep these adoptions going strong. And we’re just getting started. 

What to Expect on Event Day 

Puppy-and-Purr Palooza is a great way to spend your Saturday. You’ll meet an incredible group of dogs and cats (and the amazing volunteers who care for them), learn about the adoption process, and see firsthand just how resilient and lovable these pets are. 

Each animal has its own story, and all of them are hoping their next chapter starts with you. 

Why It Matters 

Adopting a pet isn’t just about giving them a home; it’s about creating a connection. Pets can help boost mental health, reduce stress, and bring so much joy into our lives. At the same time, every adoption makes space in shelters for more animals in need. 

It’s a ripple effect of compassion, and we’re honored to play a small part in that!
