Doug Wheat has practiced in Texas and Louisiana state and federal courts for thirty four years. Doug has worked in a wide variety of personal injury cases, including maritime, worker’s compensation, construction, and products liability and has a deep and broad profile of litigation experience in these areas.
Doug was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in 1958. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans in 1981 and his law degree from Tulane University of Louisiana in 1984. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Louisiana State Bar Association, United States Supreme Court, United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Fifth, and Eleventh Circuit, United States Court of Claims, all United States District Courts in Louisiana and Texas, American Bar Association, Maritime Law Association of the United States, The Longshore Claims Association, and the Southeast Admiralty Law Institute.
